On Tuesday 9th November special arrangements are being made for the boys to visit Omagh Fire Station. This event will count as one of their community activities for their badge work. Note that full uniform should be worn.
Meeting arrangements
The boys should meet at the Fire Station at 6.25pm sharp. Parents are advised to park at the Grange or Health Centre and escort their boys to the station to avoid blocking the station entrance.
Collection arrangements
Due to fire fighter training taking place the boys must be collected again at the earlier time of 7.15pm from the Health Centre car park.
All parents should sign a special consent form TONIGHT or bring the signed form with them to the station on 9th November. All boys must have a signed consent form in order to attend this event.
Congratulations to 1st Kilskeery Company who won the annual West Ulster Battalion Heat of the Anchor Boy Fun and Games Day on Saturday 16th October 2010 with a grand total of 114.5 points.
The event was hosted by the 1st Omagh Company at First Omagh Presbyterian Church and 8 companies from the Battalion were represented by 15 teams totalling around 80 boys.
Rev. John F. Murdoch, minister of First Omagh Presbyterian Church and co-Chaplain of the 1st Omagh Company presented the winners with the Battalion Shield, medals and certificates and congratulated the 1st Kilskeery company on their first ever win in the competition.
Congratulations also go to our 1st Omagh teams who provided some tough competition. The 1st Omagh A Team came 2nd with a fantastic score of 111 and our B Team finished 9th. Well done boys!

1st Kilskeery will now represent the West Ulster Battalion at the Northern Ireland Final which will be held in the Antrim area on 29th January 2011.
This year the annual West Ulster Battalion heat for the Anchor Boy Fun & Games Day will be hosted by 1st Omagh Boys’ Brigade in First Omagh Presbyterian Church Halls on Saturday 16th October 2010 at 2.00pm.
Invitations have been sent out to 16 companies in the West Ulster Battalion and 1st Omagh expect to enter two teams of up to 6 boys in the competition.
The games at the heat will include; Tunnel Run, Darts, Cone Race, Skittles, Balloon Bat, Quoit Throw, Blow Ball, Object Pass, Object Throw and Supermarket Sweep.
The winning team will go forward to the Northern Ireland Final which will be held on 29th January 2011 in the Antrim Battalion area at 10:30am.
The aim of the Boys Brigade is "to advance the kingdom of Christ among Boys and to promote habits of obedience, reverence, discipline and all that tends towards true Christian manliness."
